Silbermann 1775

To have a very important historical instrument, on which to practice all the keyboard repertoires

Instrument description

Unfretted model based on historical instrument datedĀ  to 1776 and attributed to J. H. Silbermann, now at the Germaniches Nationalmuseum in Nuremberg (MIR/1061).

Its important extension allows the performance of a very wide repertoire. It presents a homogeneous sound, very present and rich in harmonics, especially in the tenor and bass region.

The clavichord, in the basic version, is supplied complete with legs attached to the bottom and a 2 parts lid made with frame and panels. The customer may add further structural and decorative elements when ordering according to the proposed scheme and price list. A removable book stand can be added, although the open lid can serve at it. The removable book stand can, on request, be stored under the instrument using a specific housing.
