Welcome to my studio/laboratory dedicated to the construction of clavichords. On this site you will be able to learn about the characteristics of my activity as a builder and executor of this instrument which is so unique for its prerogatives, infinite expressive potential and educational properties.

You can receive information about my collection and contact me to commission an instrument, to have long and short term rentals, tests and demonstrations.

Each instrument is made as a unique piece and is entirely assembled by me with first choice materials, seasoned in a traditional way in compliance with the specific processing times.

I am an organist and harpsichordist, holder of the chair of organ practice, modality and plain song at the «O. Respighi” of Latina. I graduated in organ and organ composition in 1990 and in harpsichord in 1994.

After graduating in Literature and Philosophy in 1999, I specialized in the practice of continuous bass at the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music in Rome. I am still active as an organist and harpsichordist, and I conduct research on ancient pedagogical-musical praxis, on the performance modality and practice of plainchant in the 17th and 18th centuries.

In 2015, after a decade of studies and apprenticeship, I opened this atelier where I produce clavichords, mostly copies of existing historical instruments alongside an intense dissemination activity at various levels through concerts, radio broadcasts and public conferences.

Clavicembalo italiano

Small harpsichord inspired by the construction characteristics of the historical Italian tradition. Both versions have 2 8′ registers that can be coupled and the 415/440 H transposing keyboard

Pedalclavicordo

Instrument under construction, copy of the Gerstenberg model preserved in the Leipzig museum. It will soon be available in my showroom for a try.

Silbermann 1775

Unfretted model based on historical instrument dated  to 1776 and attributed to J. H. Silbermann, now at the Germaniches Nationalmuseum in Nuremberg (MIR/1061)

Hubert 1789

Fretted clavichord based on the intrument signed and dated  C. G. Hubert 1789, now preserved in the National Museum in Nuremberg with catalog number MIR 1058.

Rosenau 1772

Fretted clavichord, copy of the clavichord preserved in the Stockholm Music Museum, attribuited to the maker Gottlieb Rosenau (ca. 1772).

Piccolo

Fretted clavichord, specifically designed for students and for the musician who needs a light instrument that is always with him.
