Michele Chiaramida
I am an organist and harpsichordist, holder of the chair of organ practice, modality and plain song at the «O. Respighi” of Latina. I graduated in organ and organ composition in 1990 and in harpsichord in 1994.
After graduating in Literature and Philosophy in 1999, I specialized in the practice of continuous bass at the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music in Rome.
I am still active as an organist and harpsichordist, and I conduct research on ancient pedagogical-musical praxis, on the performance modality and practice of plainchant in the 17th and 18th centuries.
In 2015, after a decade of studies and apprenticeship, I opened this atelier where I produce clavichords, mostly copies of existing historical instruments alongside an intense dissemination activity at various levels through concerts, radio broadcasts and public conferences.
